Why us
Why train at Dublin Tattoo College
Anyone can hand you a machine. We teach you to use it safely and well, in small groups, on real skin, with artists who tattoo for a living.
Real teaching
Taught by working artists
Every tutor here tattoos professionally. You learn current technique, real studio practice and honest feedback, not textbook theory read from a slide. Because we keep groups small, a tutor watches your hands the whole way through.
The difference
What sets us apart
Small groups
We cap every course at a handful of students so a tutor watches your work, not a lecture hall. You get real bench time, not a seat at the back.
Real skin and live models
Artificial skin is where you start, not where you finish. Every course ends with a supervised tattoo on a live model, because that is the only way to be ready.
Taught by working artists
Your tutors tattoo professionally. You learn how the craft actually works today, from technique to how a studio really runs.
Hygiene done right
Cross-contamination control and blood-borne pathogen safety run through every course, to the standards Irish studios and clients expect.
A diploma and a portfolio
You finish with a Dublin Tattoo College diploma and a folder of supervised work you can put in front of any studio.
Support after you finish
Your questions do not stop on the last day. We help with your portfolio, finding work, and the steps to setting up on your own.
An honest comparison
A college, not a crash course
What you get here

- Full hygiene and blood-borne pathogen training
- A diploma and a portfolio to show studios
- Ongoing support and studio-startup guidance
What cheaper options skip
- Large classes with little one-to-one time
- Practice on fake skin only, never a real person
- Thin or missing hygiene instruction
- A certificate with no portfolio behind it

Graduates
“I arrived never having held a machine and left tattooing a live model with confidence. The structure is what set it apart.”
